Delta Air Lines is set to make history with its largest-ever schedule from Atlanta in summer 2025, offering 1.1 million weekly seats, 968 daily flights, and service to 215 destinations. This significant expansion reaffirms Atlanta’s status as the world’s largest airline hub and highlights Delta’s commitment to supporting the city’s growth.

A Hub and a Home

For Delta, Atlanta is more than just a hub—it’s home. The airline’s expansion includes nearly 75 additional daily departures compared to summer 2024, providing customers with more destinations, increased frequencies, and enhanced premium experiences. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens praised the move, stating, “Atlanta’s position as a global leader for cultural and business connectivity is only enhanced by Delta’s expansion of their domestic and international network.”

Expanding International and Domestic Reach

Delta’s international footprint from Atlanta continues to grow, now spanning 66 destinations worldwide. New services include flights to Naples and Brussels, along with increased frequencies to Rome, Zurich, Barcelona, Athens, Cancun, Toronto, Barbados, and Curacao. On the domestic front, Delta is enhancing service across the U.S., including a 20% increase in intra-state seats within Georgia, reinforcing its commitment to regional connectivity.

Delivering a Premium Experience

Delta is dedicated to providing a premium experience that matches Atlanta’s dynamic spirit. With 41,000 daily premium seats—including Delta One, First Class, Delta Premium Select, and Delta Comfort+—the airline ensures unparalleled comfort for its customers. This marks a 9% year-over-year increase in premium seating. Additionally, 87% of ATL departures are now operated on mainline aircraft, up from 79% in 2019.

Investing in Atlanta’s Future

Delta has invested over $12 billion in modernizing its network of hubs, including significant contributions to Atlanta’s $10.8 billion airport redevelopment program. This includes expanding Concourse D, opening a new Delta Sky Club before summer 2025, and introducing a touchless experience at bag drop and security using Digital ID. Renovations are also planned for all nine Delta Sky Clubs, starting with Concourse A, enhancing the customer experience with best-in-class food, beverage options, and stylish facilities.

Economic Impact and Community Commitment

Delta’s presence in Atlanta is a major driver of growth, employing over 36,000 people and contributing significantly to the region’s economy. In 2023, travel and tourism contributed nearly $80 billion to Georgia’s economy and supported over 463,000 jobs. Delta’s connectivity also supports increased business-related travel, which grew by nearly 10 million travellers and more than $1 billion in spending in 2023.

Joe Miller, VP of Airport Operations at ATL, emphasized the dedication of Delta’s team, stating, “Our growth and strength in Atlanta come from the dedication of Delta people who live our Brand Beliefs—Welcoming, Elevated, and Caring—every day.”

Looking Ahead

Delta’s vision for Atlanta revolves around growth, enhanced connectivity, and delivering the best travel experience possible. As Delta and Atlanta continue to lead the way together, they are building a brighter future for the airport, the city, and all the customers who pass through its doors. Delta isn’t just a part of Atlanta—it’s embedded in the city’s DNA, shaping its future and connecting it to the world.
