Plans for a Bob’s Burgers origin story episode, including when it will air, are being teased by creator Loren Bouchard. The animated series, following Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin) and his family, who run the eponymous and often underrated burger restaurant, premiered on Fox in 2011. Along with Benjamin, the voice cast of Bob’s Burgers includes John Roberts, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman and Kristen Schaal. Praised for its animation and lightheartedness, the show also tracks the Belchers’ various escapades outside their business, even through flashbacks and stories.
At D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event’s Hulu Animayhem Panel, for which Screen Rant was in attendance, Bouchard revealed that an upcoming episode will feature the early stages of Bob’s Burgers. To see the beginning of Bob’s restaurant, and how the business might have changed since, would be exciting. Some episodes have touched on the early years of Bob’s Burgers, revealing that he worked late hours, but none have recapped opening day. Though random blunders and financial concerns are commonplace, Bob remains focused on maintaining the restaurant, alongside Linda. The show has explored the progression of their relationship as well, including how they met while Linda was engaged to Hugo. Now, it seems episode 300 will reveal how the couple managed an either successful or unproductive opening.
