Gold medal-winning sisters Jess and Noemie Fox will have an island at Penrith Whitewater Stadium named after them in recognition of their Olympic exploits.
Jess took out the C1 and K1 canoe slalom events while Noemie triumphed in kayak cross.
The soon-to-named Fox Island, which is centrally located in the stadium, is a well-earned nod to the sisters who brought him three gold medals between them from Paris, providing much joy to bleary-eyed Aussie fans who tuned into their events throughout the 2024 Olympics at all hours of the evening.

Jess also represented Australia as the flag bearer in the opening ceremony.
“I remember being a six-year-old in the stands for Sydney 2000 and an 11-year-old in the stands when the World Championships were here in 2005, so to have that legacy 20, 25 years on, for me it means so much,” Jess Fox said.
“We know Penrith is primed to provide fans of our sport and Western Sydney locals with that same incredible atmosphere.”
The announcement comes on the back of Paddle Australia receiving a $3.2 million injection with the funding provided by the NSW and federal governments.
