Jabba’s Sail Barge Is On Sale Now (Complete With A Bonus Lightsaber Gift)

Jabba’s sale barge, one of the most eagerly-anticipated LEGO Star Wars sets of the year, is on sale now. 2024 has been an exciting year for LEGO collectors, not least because of a range of kits inspired by LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – such as the unforgettable Dark Falcon. Today, though, one of the most exciting Star Wars LEGO sets of the year has finally released.

The latest in the Ultimate Collector Series, Jabba’s Sail Barge (75397) features 11 minifigures in total, and comes in at just under 4,000 pieces. Once built, the Sail Barge will be 25cm wide, 77cm long, and 25 cm tall, and it works perfectly with earlier releases of the Desert Skiff and Sarlacc Pit. It’s on sale now from the LEGO Store, complete with a bonus free gift – a 145-piece “Gift With Purchase” model of Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber.

What Jabba’s Sail Barge Means For Star Wars

It’s interesting to note that this Return of the Jedi-inspired set comes with a range of minifigures – including one based on the “Slave Leia” costume, which has been rechristened the “Huttslayer.” For years, there had been rumors Disney had vetoed any new merchandise featuring this outfit, but now LEGO has released a brand new minifigure. Although Carrie Fisher hated this costume, Star Wars has redeemed Slave Leia as the Huttslayer – the one who brought down the Hutt criminal empire.

For LEGO collectors, the new Jabba’s Sail Barge set completes a fantastic range that honors Return of the Jedi‘s opening scene. Even the choices of minifigures are smart; Jabba’s Sail Barge doesn’t include the likes of Luke Skywalker, because they came with the earlier Desert Skiff. The LEGO sets are designed to complement one another.

Even better, LEGO has also released the Imperial Dropship vs Rebel Scout Speeder, a double-pack that comes with Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ pink astromech QT-KT. This is the final minifigure celebrating the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars. The price-point may give some collectors pause, but QT-KT will surely sell well on the aftermarket. All in all, then, today is a great day for collectors of LEGO Star Wars – with the potential to pick up some really cool new sets.
