I was the only one from the opposition who was participating but still, I was not allowed to speak. This is insulting…”

NITI Aayog’s ninth Governing Council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun. The meeting focuses on making India a developed nation by 2047, aiming to foster participative governance and collaboration between the Centre and state governments, enhancing the quality of life for both rural and urban populations by strengthening the delivery mechanisms of government interventions. Opposition leaders have decided to boycott the meeting.

Arunachal Pradesh govt announces recruitment of ex-Agniveers in police, fire services


The Arunachal Pradesh government will provide training to local youths to prepare them for recruitment under the Agnipath scheme. Five army personnel, including a major rank officer injured in Macchal encounter in J-K

Five Indian Army soldiers including a Major rank officer suffered injuries in the encounter. All five troops were evacuated from the location. One of the injured soldiers has lost his life due to injuries, ANI reported citing defence officials.

NITI Aayog meet to discuss Viksit Bharat road map, role of states in journey


Leaders of all parties have been invited to attend the NITI Aayog meeting today. The meet will discuss the road map to make India a ‘developed economy’. However, led by Congress, most opposition leaders are likely to remain absent from the meet.


Leaders from BJP-ruled states have started reaching the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre where the meeting is scheduled to take place. Union Home Minister Amith Shah and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have also reached the venue to take part in the meeting.
