The second tackle, which won West Brom a foul, came from Samu Costa and the pair then came face-to-face.

Molumby was visibly irritated and put his head into Costa, who then appeared to push back in retaliation.

The West Brom man then responded by punching Costa in the face and the duo wrestled to the ground in shocking scenes.

It comes just days after Chelsea’s Levi Colwill and Wrexham’s James McClean clashed early on in their pre-season friendly draw.

However, they only pushed and grabbed each other’s shirt before being pulled away and didn’t go as far as Molumby did.

Molumby started his career at Brighton having come through their academy and made five senior appearances for the club.

The 24-year-old spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Millwall and then the second-half of the following campaign with Preston.
