Oscar De La Hoya drinks wine and makes obscene gesture as he aims X-rated rant at Canelo Alvarez

Oscar De La Hoya has restarted his war of words with Canelo Alvarez after a brief period of peace.

Through his Golden Boy promotional company, De la Hoya used to be in charge of Canelo’s career before they split, and their relationship turned sour in a very public way.

Canelo sued De La Hoya and Golden Boy over a breach of contract before ultimately securing his free agency in 2020.

Things turned ugly ahead of the undisputed super middleweight champion’s fight with Golden Boy’s latest Mexican star, Jaime Munguia, last month.

The former colleagues traded insults at a press conference, and Canelo accused De La Hoya of stealing from his clients before being sent a cease-and-desist letter in response.

Their beef settled down after Alvarez dropped and outpointed Munguia, who suffered his first career defeat at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on May 4.

However, De La Hoya has taken to social media to reignite the rivalry.

On Monday, the 51-year-old boxing legend shared a video of him responding to an apparent diss from Canelo, who he accused of ducking WBC interim super middleweight titlist David Benavidez.

“Canelo, I’ve just saw a video where you’re still talking s***,” De La Hoya said on Instagram.

“All you say is, ‘F*** him, f*** that. Oh, he stole from me’.

“Well, obviously, aside from defaming me, why don’t you look inside your own circle because I know for a fact that people are stealing from you.

“By the way, you lined my pockets, and you made Munguia a s*** load of money all because you’re afraid of David Benavidez.”

De La Hoya concluded his message to Canelo by taking a sip of wine and flashing his middle finger at the camera before saying: “F*** you!”

It’s currently unclear what video triggered De La Hoya’s latest rant at Canelo.

The boxing superstar is yet to respond to his promoter-turned-enemy but is sure to be fielding questions about De La Hoya’s latest remarks the next time he’s interviewed.
