Bet of the Day

Portugal to win to nil @ 11/10

A stellar qualification campaign saw Roberto Martinez’s Portugal go 10 for 10 in Group J, however defeat to Croatia in their most recent friendly will have dampened their pre-Euros spirits.

Portugal are one of the favourites to be crowned champions in Germany and so they will be hoping to head into the championships on the back of victory when they host an Ireland side that has largely struggled away from Dublin recently.

The Boys in Green have lost three of their last four on the road – their sole victory coming in a 4-0 triumph over minnows Gibraltar – and two of these defeats came to nil against the Netherlands and France; two sides ranked in the top 10 in the world alongside Portugal.

Four of Portugal’s last eight home fixtures has seen a victory accompanied by a clean sheet and the star power that Lusos possess should prove enough to ensure the hosts head to Germany with a win. Ireland have failed to score in four of their last seven and so could struggle to trouble the 2016 champions.

Special of the day

Cyprus to win and Both Teams to Score v San Marino @ 49/20

Cyprus have had a difficult time of things as of late with just one victory across their last 13 – losing 10 – but the Cypriots should be able to enjoy themselves when they host San Marino, who have won just one game in their entire history.

Temur Ketsbaia’s side finished rock bottom of Group A in Euro 2024 qualifying, losing all eight of their matches and scoring just three goals, however they have won all six of their previous meetings with San Marino – the most recent of which coming in a 4-0 thrashing back in 2019.

La Serenissima also finished bottom of the pile once again in their qualification group, losing all 10 of their games and conceding 31 goals in the process – the second lowest of any nation in the qualifying stages.

The hosts will likely struggle against the Cypriots on Tuesday but their fans could still find something to celebrate at the San Marino Stadium. Roberto Cevoli’s men have scored in four of their last six internationals and this form could see them shock the visitors with a rare goal.

Longshot of the day

Moldova to win v Ukraine @ 5/1

Ukraine qualified for their fourth straight European Championships thanks to a 2-1 play-off final victory over Iceland however they could head to Germany on the back of defeat when they face Moldova in Chisinau.

Moldova finished fourth in Group E during qualifying, five points off of second-placed Czech Republic, but they have impressed at home in recent fixtures in avoiding defeat in each of their last six and taking five points from Albania (1-1), Czech Republic (0-0) and Poland (3-2) – the three sides who qualified for Euro 2024 from their group.

The Tricolours will be brimming with confidence heading into their meeting with Ukraine and with the visitors failing to win either of their last two on the road, a shock victory could be in store on Tuesday.
